A very old Elm/Ash Dough Bin. Very rustic, but solid condition, difficult to date, but I would guess mid 1800’s. Requiring a little restoration.
A lift up lid (work surface) revealing a fairly shallow storage area. Below: 2 cupboard doors. I see this being used as a quirky drinks cabinet, maybe storing your glasses under the lid, and bottles below inside the cupboard. The back is presentable, so the unit could be placed in the centre of a room.
Restoration required: some catches/door closures need to be fitted to the doors. The hinges are new, and could be sprayed matt black. The top could be made a little flatter.
Currently in bare wood, can be purchased as it is for £575, if you’d like me to do the restoration required and wax it for you: £647
Height: 36”, width: 58”, depth: 24.5”
Dated: Circa 1850
Period: Mid 19th Century 1830 - 1860
Origin: Unknown
