A Fabulous Large Willow Pattern Meat Dish with a sump for the meat juices.
The plate measures 21.75" x 17.5" and stands 3.25" high.
The plate weighs approx 4.5 kilos.
As can be seen by the photographs the condition is excellent with no chips or repairs.
Made by Wood and Challinor & Co, Well Street Pottery, Tunstall, Staffordshire Potteries "1860-1864"

A Stunning Japanese Twelve Sided Imari Dish
Provenance: came from the entrance hall of Widcombe Manor in Bath and used to receive visiting cards (label attached to rear) when it was owned by Horace Annesley Vachell, author of the Golden House, based on Widcombe Manor.
The dish measures 12.5" (317 mm) and is 2.75" (70 mm) deep.
The characters read "Da Ming Wanli Nan Zhi" which translates as " Made during the Wanli period of the great Ming dynasty" which was 1573 - 1639.
These are Chinese pseudo marks, and the dish was made in Japan late 19th early 20th century.
In very good condition, tiny hair line mark to underneath (see photo 5)

A superb quality Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Mason's Ironstone Vegetable Dish and Stand of hexagonal form by G.M. & C.J. Mason of Lane Delph, Staffordshire, { 1813 - 1829 }, decorated in a typical "Japan" pattern, principally of Iron Red and Cobalt Blue, heightened with gilding, the overall effect thus created offering a veritable riot of rich colour most pleasing to the eye. The reverse of each piece bearing the impressed straight line Maker's Mark of the period, viz. "MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA". Height ~ Dish ~ 7.60 cm. / 3.00 inches ~ Width ~ 29.20 cm. / 11.50 inches ~ Depth ~ 26.70 cm. / 10.50 inches ~ Stand ~ Height ~ 3.80 cm. / 1.50 inches ~ Width ~ 29.80 cm. / 11.75 inches ~ Depth ~ 27.30 cm. / 10.75 inches ~ Year ~ Circa 1820.
