An antique pine Secretaire that dates from the early 1900. It is in very nice condition, and has been stripped to the bare wood ready for wax polishing.

A very interesting piece of furniture with many storage compartments. The top drawer is full width with white porcelain knobs and the original pretty elaborate key escutcheon.
Below the top drawer is a unusually panelled drop leaf writing slope with original brass key escutcheon. Once opened you will find lots of little "secret" drawers and in the centre is a metal safe with a working lock and key.
There is also a slide out leather writing tray - very useful if you would prefer not to work / write on a wood surface. The wood inside the Secretaire is a beautiful rich antique Mahogany.

There are a further three full width drawers with white porcelain knobs and original brass key escutcheons.

This will look fantastic once wax polished, or we can give you a quote for painting it, if you would prefer.
It would fit well in an office or even in a large grand hallway. A very useful storage piece to tidy away all those unsightly things!

Height 69", width 45.5", depth 24"
